Gluten-Free Beef Stir-Fry with Coconut Aminos
A quick and flavorful gluten-free beef stir-fry, perfect for a weeknight dinner. This recipe uses coconut aminos as a soy sauce substitute, making it suitable for gluten-free and soy-free diets. Serve over cauliflower rice or gluten-free noodles for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups Broccoli florets
- 1 medium Bell pepper (any color), sliced
- 1 cup Carrots, sliced
- 1/2 medium Onion, sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup Coconut aminos
- 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Arrowroot starch (or tapioca starch)
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
Prepare the Beef
In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, rice vinegar, sesame oil, arrowroot starch, and water. Set aside. This will be your stir-fry sauce. Pat the beef sirloin dry with paper towels. This helps it to brown properly in the pan. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and ginger and cook for another minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Add the broccoli florets, sliced bell pepper, and sliced carrots to the wok. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
Cook the Beef
Move the vegetables to one side of the wok or remove them from the wok and set aside. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the wok. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
Combine and Serve
Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir-fry until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly, about 1-2 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately over cauliflower rice or gluten-free noodles.

Can I use a different type of beef?
Yes, you can substitute beef sirloin with other cuts like flank steak or skirt steak. Just be sure to slice it thinly against the grain for tenderness. -
What if I don't have coconut aminos?
